Moose Processing - Harvest to Table

$0.00

Sunday, August 30 | 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
Complimentary for WHA Sisterhood Members

Following our Women Hunting Alaska moose hunt August 20–24, we’re excited to bring the harvest home and turn it into another meaningful learning opportunity for our WHA Sisterhood.

This full-day, hands-on class will walk participants step by step through processing an entire moose, building the knowledge and confidence to care for and process their own wild game at home.

Participants will work alongside us as we cover:

  • Understanding the different muscle groups and cuts of a moose

  • Breaking down and trimming boned-out meat

  • Removing silver skin, sinew and unwanted tissue

  • Identifying the best cuts for steaks and roasts

  • Separating and preparing meat for burger and grind

  • Proper handling, organization and sanitation throughout processing

  • Packaging and preparing your wild game for the freezer

  • Making the most of the harvest and minimizing waste

This class is about more than learning how to cut meat. It completes the journey of the hunt and helps us understand the responsibility that comes with a successful harvest—from caring for the animal in the field to preparing healthy, wild organic Alaskan meat for our families.

No previous processing experience is necessary. Come ready to learn, ask questions and get your hands involved!

A WHA Sisterhood Member Experience

As a thank-you to our WHA Sisterhood, this class is being offered complimentary to current members.

Come learn with us, work together and experience the complete journey from harvest to table.
